The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of general musculoskeletal skills and spine interventional procedures of the lumbar and cervical spine.

Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Applicants must be Board Certified or Board Eligible. Candidates should bring to this position expertise through fellowship training in Interventional Spine or Pain Management.

Teaching responsibilities may include the opportunity to provide outstanding teaching and mentoring for Penn medical students and residents as well as allied professionals.

Clinical responsibilities may include working closely with other surgical and non-surgical teams to provide coordinated interdisciplinary care for patients.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include scholarly productivity, successful grant applications, and external support of research is expected. Substantial research experience, special investigative training, and a demonstrated track record of scholarly activity (publications) is necessary for consideration for this Clinician Educator position.

The selected candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and leadership abilities to effectively lead our interdisciplinary rehabilitation teams. Candidates should have strong clinical training, well-refined interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and a commitment to furthering our clinical services and advancing our science.
