Job Description Summary
Act as senior gift and records administrator by providing diverse and complex support all the schools and centers across campus. Oversee and review gift and pledge documentation for processing, with a mind for continuous process improvement. Address processes and issues with IRS policy, DAR Gift policy and Finance gift policy enforcement in mind. Work as liaison between GAA (Gifts Accounting, Administration), schools and centers, fundraisers and donors to manage the gift/donation life cycle. Assist fundraisers with gift research and issue resolution, including credit issues and billing. Process all donations, pledges and adjustments. Additional duties as assigned

Job Description

Work directly with Major Gift Officers, Business Administrators, and administrative staff to oversee and review gift and pledge documentation for processing. Act in the best interest of donors by seeing that donor intent is met. Work with Gift Planning to understand all nonstandard gifts. Secure proper approvals for nonstandard gifts and make sure all transactions are properly reflected in Atlas.

Address processes and issues with CASE, FASB, IRS policy, and University policies, including DAR/Finance gift policy in mind. Work with Investment Services and Gift Planning to teach and reinforce policy to DAR staff. Develop procedures to accurately enter/record and report cash flow and pledge expectances, billing and reconciliation to Atlas. Troubleshoots donor transactions and maintains data integrity of financial analysis.

Analyze/prepares recommendations and/or corrections in accordance with donor intent. Create strategy and action plans with fundraisers and donors to make gift or pledge payments or resolve any gift or pledge related issues.

Work as liaison between GAA, schools and centers, fundraisers, and donors to manage the gift/donation life cycle.

Assist fundraisers with gift research and issue resolution, including crediting issues and billing. Coordinate system corrections and reallocations, creation of bills as per donor request and all receipting needs. Process VIP gift, pledge and adjustment work as needed.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma and 5 years' experience in related functions, preferably in development and alumni relations or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Bachelor's degree desirable.

Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing. Ability to handle confidential information appropriately. Highly organized and detail-oriented with high level of initiative, commitment to follow through, and willingness to assume responsibility. Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize projects in a timely, effective manner. Ability to handle high volumes of work. Detail-oriented; self-starter. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and encourage others to collaborate. Enthusiasm for providing the highest level of service. Must demonstrate the ability to provide excellent customer service to a diverse group of alumni, development officers and other workers, and other professionals. Must be able to manage multiple daily tasks while working quickly, accurately, and independently.

Demonstrated ability with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and relational databases functionality.

Ability to staff events as needed. Required to work peak periods (may include a Saturday) during winter break and fiscal year end
