The graphic designer reports to the Associate Art Director. This creative and strategic thinker tells the SCAD story through compelling graphics as part of Savannah’s largest creative team. This team member creates inspired communications including ads, internal and external publications, signage, exhibitions vinyl and more. He/she designs comprehensive and effective layouts, manipulates graphic elements and type, prepares files for production and assists with creative concepts and designs.

Position Summary: SCAD seeks a Graphic Designer to help tell the SCAD story through compelling graphics as part of Savannah’s largest creative team.

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum four years of experience; B.F.A. in graphic design or related degree; dynamic portfolio that demonstrates a wide range of ability; ability to take direction, follow instructions and be open to constructive feedback; professional and positive attitude; thorough understanding of design principles, production and layout skills; demonstrated expertise using InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop; demonstrated experience in building and producing designs for both print and interactive media; excellent time management skills; ability to work both independently and collaboratively; strong, refined typography skills including logo design and brand development. Experience designing with Powerpoint and/or Keynote presentation software is a plus.

Certificates, licenses and registrations: Valid driver's license

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
