Communications Specialist

Implements comprehensive communication campaigns to various audiences using multiple communication channels; utilizes experience and familiarity with communications technologies and platforms, reporting tools and analytics to make recommendations to existing communication flows and future campaigns; collaborates with Information Technology to identify requirements influencing the setup of and daily activities associated with the CRM system in support of Enrollment Management offices; serves on campus-wide CRM leadership team; serves as a primary champion of CRM for the recruitment, admission and enrollment of new students; collaborates with staff, Enrollment Management offices, IT, and other campus offices to achieve a “connected campus” vision to aid in retention and completion efforts; consults with managers and others on campaign tracking, response handling, follow-up, and automated lead management; works with Enrollment Management leadership, departments, and others to ensure their CRM deployment and continued use are successful; assists with testing CRM system enhancements and upgrades; collaborates with Enrollment Management colleagues, staff and faculty in academic colleges and departments, and other campus areas that communicate with prospective and current students; and provides support for other projects as needed. Bachelor's degree plus at least two years of experience implementing a communications and marketing plan or CRM experience required. Strong interpersonal skills; excellent communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff; and excellent problem-solving skills also required. Experience in higher education; experience with enrollment and/or recruitment; and experience with Salesforce CRM, student information systems, reporting tools and/or analytics preferred.
