The Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track.* Expertise is required in the specific area of urology, including minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopic and robotic), endourologic management of stone disease and general urology. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. They must also be certified by the American Board of Urology or eligible for such certification.

Teaching responsibilities may include instruction of medical students and urology residents.

Clinical responsibilities may include surgical and non-surgical care of patients (male and female) with general urological complaints.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include basic science or clinical urologic research pursuits. Evidence of scholarship is required in the Clinician Educator track.

The clinical practice for this position will be housed primarily at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, flagship institution for the University of Pennsylvania Health System. Applicants should have demonstrated expertise in all areas of outpatient and inpatient urology.
