Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Oncology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of data science and its application to pediatric health and healthcare data; deep knowledge of electronic health record data, relevant data models, and their use in research and population surveillance; and, demonstrated leadership skills required to build large, multi-institutional databases that support observational research and clinical trials. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Board-certified in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Clinical Informatics.

Teaching responsibilities may include didactic and/or clinical instruction of medical students, graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, residents, fellows in pediatric hematology/oncology, clinical informatics and other specialties, and other faculty.

Clinical responsibilities may include inpatient and outpatient care at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia focused on children, adolescents, and young adults with hematologic malignancies, and active involvement in fellowship training and mentoring. Candidates must have at least 10 years of experience as an attending physician after completion of fellowship training.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include a strong track record of leadership and contribution to multi-institutional data networks that conduct patient-centered outcomes research.
