SCAD Savannah seeks an experienced employee performance and success manager to provide critical human resources support and serve as a strategic, decision-making partner for assigned departments.

In this full-time role, you will partner with organizations across the university to assist, guide, and inform supervisors, employees, and other stakeholders on matters primarily relating to employee relations, compensation, administration, performance management, training and development, new-hire orientation and other human resource functions. Relying on your expertise, you will advise supervisors on relevant policies and best practices, offer recommendations that resolve employee/supervisor concerns, and assist supervisors with each stage of the performance management process. You will investigate reports and respond to inquiries about HR matters. You will manage each aspect of the position-management process for all personnel changes, collaborating with partners to ensure job descriptions are correct and approved, and assist with the recruitment process (e.g., hiring, onboarding, participating in interviews, etc.). Among other duties, you will also work with SCAD benefits to address FMLA and accommodation requests, make referrals as needed to the employee assistance program, lead information sessions and workshops, and participate in other special projects and departmental assignments as needed.

The qualified candidate is a spectacular communicator and uses stellar interpersonal skills to expertly resolve conflicts and collaborate with others from diverse backgrounds. Strong problem solving, decision-making, and organization proficiencies are essential, as is the ability to multi-task while maintaining accuracy. The successful candidate has a demonstrated ability to always maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
  • Minimum of five years of human resources or related experience
  • Specialized knowledge in employee relations, organization development, recruitment, compensation, and training and development

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
