SCAD Atlanta seeks a full-time professor of UX design to join its dedicated, award-winning faculty in preparing students for rapidly evolving design careers. User experience designers create using the principles and tools of a progressive platform within the SCAD School of Design. The program encourages the development of a strong interdisciplinary design community across SCAD locations that collaborates with such related academic disciplines as design management, design for sustainability, industrial design, and interactive design. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated passion for inspiring and teaching at the college level, the ability to motivate students and faculty to think creatively and critically, as well as experience working with students and faculty from diverse backgrounds. The candidate also possesses a thorough understanding of user experience design methodology and theories. Additionally, the candidate has strong graphic and idea visualization skills, a background in contextual research, experience prototyping, and the ability to create compelling user interfaces that generate engaging interactive experiences.
