SCAD Savannah seeks a full-time professor of UX design to join its dedicated, award-winning faculty and help prepare students for rapidly evolving design careers. User experience design faculty create unforgettable experiences using the principles and tools of the SCAD School of Design’s progressive programs. These programs encourage the development of a strong interdisciplinary design community across SCAD locations. Faculty members collaborate with related academic disciplines, including interaction design, industrial design, design management, and design for sustainability. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated passion for inspiring and teaching at the college level with the ability to motivate students and faculty to think creatively and critically, has experience working with students and faculty of diverse backgrounds, and possesses a thorough understanding of user experience design methodology and theories. Top candidates will have strong graphic and idea visualization skills, a background in contextual research, experience prototyping, and the ability to create compelling user interfaces that generate engaging interactive experiences with the user.
