SCAD seeks a part-time Professor of Art History to help provide students with the expertise needed to investigate and explain the complex relationships between context and cultural production. In this position, you will join the SCAD team of more than 40 art history professors instructing students to develop their ability for creative inquiry, invention, critical thinking, and visual analysis. You will work among a community of diverse and highly credentialed art history experts and have access to the nation’s largest physical library holdings among art and design schools. You and your students will also have exclusive access to objects of study at the SCAD Museum of Art, SCAD FASH Museum of Fashion + Film, and the Lacoste History Museum. This global network of libraries, museums, galleries, signature events, and more provides unparalleled opportunities for students to explore the emergence of innovative forms of expression and engage in scholarly research.
