SCAD seeks a professor of production design to join its School of Entertainment Arts at the Savannah location.

In this position, you will create professionally oriented learning experiences for themed entertainment design students. Using your design expertise and professional knowledge, you will be an integral part of a collaborative faculty that prepares the next generation of themed entertainment designers through a curriculum that mirrors professional practices.

The ideal candidate is proficient in professional visualization techniques and has experience with themed attractions and immersive experiences. Digital design knowledge, scale model-making, and VR experience are preferred.

SCAD production design professors lead the only program in the U.S. that offers a comprehensive approach to entertainment design, from set design and art direction for film and television to stage productions, live events, theme parks, and immersive attractions. Because of the unmatched opportunity and real-world knowledge in SCAD themed entertainment design classes, students have gone on to win numerous awards, from Walt Disney Imagineering’s Imaginations Design Competition to a Student Emmy for Best Scripted Series, and more.

- Terminal degree or equivalent in production design, themed entertainment, or a related field
- Professional experience as a production designer or art director, preferably in the theme park industry
- Portfolio of professional work
