SCAD Savannah seeks an experienced 2D character animator to become a professor in its animation department, named among the world’s top animation schools and among the “Ivy League of Animation” by 3D World magazine.

As a professor, you will use your experience in building hybrid 2D and cut-out puppets to guide the animators of tomorrow as they learn and excel at the production process.

Qualified candidates have an exceptional ability to bring complex scenes and characters to life, and are proficient in relevant animation software. The candidate should be organized and possess a reel, website, or flat book of work that conveys an understanding of the 12 principles and when to break them. If relevant, the candidate should also have a collection of similar work from past students. Stellar interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication, are essential in collaborating with administration, faculty, and staff. The candidate should also be able to thrive in both individual and team work environments.

Requirements:
- Terminal degree and/or significant professional experience.
- University-level teaching experience preferred
- Professional experience as a 2D animator with an emphasis on performance and rigging
