Stanford University has an immediate opening for a full-time Student Financial Success Specialist in Student Financial Services (SFS), a unit within Student & Academic Services .

Student & Academic Services (SAS) is a vital part of the division of Student Affairs and centers its work on supporting every student, faculty member, and academic and student affairs staff member on campus. What you can expect:
  • Managing student receivables
  • Evaluating and responding to ServiceNow tickets
  • Collaborating with vendors and internal departments, including Student Experience Strategy and Student Services Center
  • Assembling documentation and help guides for the systems and tools we use
  • Making sure information is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible
  • Strengthening campus partnerships
  • Representing SFS as approachable, open, and transparent
  • Independently implementing, coordinating, and evaluating day-to-day activities
  • Making recommendations that impact policies and programs
  • Assigning resources to achieve our goals
  • Analyzing and interpreting policies
  • Developing, revising, and implementing procedures specific to SFS's role in Student Success Initiatives in the Student Affairs division (Mind Over Money Financial Literacy initiatives, VPSA mission, vision, and goals)
  • Providing information and training as needed
  • Organizing and/or participating in outreach activities that may include developing communications and training, planning/promoting events and/or conferences (making pitches about student finances to the campus, students, and their families, scheduling training sessions about the student financial account and any system touchpoints)
  • Collecting and analyzing data, creating reports, reviewing and explaining trends
  • Collaborating with the Student Financials Business Analyst for data collection and analysis to make recommendations to accomplish SFS Student Success goals
  • May perform limited forecasting and provide recommendations that determine the budget
  • May advise staff to perform various tasks and assignments
  • May also supervise staff or recruit, train and supervise student assistants

Education & Experience Required:

Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
