Assistant Professor, Economics College of Business Administration The University of Northern Iowa seeks applicants for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor of Economics, beginning August 2018. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching in a Data Analytics program currently being developed by the UNI College of Business Administration. Top candidates must have the ability to address important econometric, applied economic and business questions using recent advances in the collection and/or analysis of large data sets. Preferred areas of expertise include health economics and/or behavioral economics. Other teaching responsibilities may include statistics, econometrics, and quantitative courses. PhD in Economics from a nationally or internationally-recognized doctoral program required. Additional requirements include demonstrated ability to work with big data sets; a record of excellence in teaching; demonstrated ability to produce publishable research in economics journals; and demonstrated organizational and communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates with proficiency in analytics software such as R, SAS, Tableau, and/or Python; teaching experience with primary responsibility for the course(s); evidence of ability to create an engaged and applied classroom environment, and evidence of ability to advance the academic, professional and personal success of students.
