Vice Provost for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging

The University of Kansas (KU) seeks an experienced and inspiring leader to serve as its next vice provost for diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (VP-DEIB). As a member of the Executive Vice Chancellor's Leadership Team, the vice provost plans, guides and advises university leadership. In alignment with the Jayhawks Rising strategic plan, the VP-DEIB has immediate opportunity to drive and champion goals, projects, and professional development initiatives, while enhancing communications, and promoting collaborative activity across all campus units and organizations.

KU is the state’s flagship university, a Research 1 (R-1) institution and one of just 65 invited members of the prestigious Association of American Universities (AAU). The University seeks a strategic leader and skillful collaborator to serve as its Vice Provost for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (VP-DEIB).

KU consistently earns high rankings for academics and recognition as a premier research university. KU has 21 programs ranked in the U.S. News & World Report top 25 among public universities, including #1 rankings for graduate programs in public administration and special education. KU has 65 ranked graduate programs and is ranked 24th in best value among public institutions in 2022.
