The Board of Trustees of Spring Hill College seeks an innovative, passionate and caring leader to serve as its next president and invites interested and qualified candidates to apply.

 

Located in one of Mobile, Alabama’s most charming and picturesque neighborhoods, the Spring Hill College campus comprises 381 acres dotted with towering oak trees and azalea-lined walkways. Several buildings on campus are listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

 

Founded in 1830 by the Most Rev. Michael Portier, DD, Mobile’s first Catholic bishop, Spring Hill College is the oldest continuously operated, private institution of higher education in the state of Alabama, the first Catholic college in the Southeast, and the third oldest Jesuit and fifth oldest Catholic college in the United States.

 

Spring Hill College prides itself on providing award-winning academic programs taught by expert faculty with real world experience and knowledge. At the core of their academics is a liberal arts education that allows students to learn holistically and become well-rounded professionals. Spring Hill College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award baccalaureate and master’s degrees.

 

The successful candidate will possess an established record of effective leadership with significant management experience at an institution or organization of comparable size, scope, and complexity. Candidates must demonstrate the highest integrity and ethical standards with strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills. The President of Spring Hill College is a significant presence on campus and within the Mobile community and will strengthen Spring Hill College’s place in Jesuit Higher Education, in Catholic Higher Education, and in the Southeast.
