Assistant Professor of Applied Exercise Physiology

The Department of Exercise Science at California Lutheran University invites applications for a full-time, tenure track position at the assistant professor rank in the area of Applied Exercise Physiology to begin August 2018. Our campus has recently become a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) and we are looking for candidates with a demonstrated commitment to and success in working in diverse, multi-cultural and multi-racial communities. The Department of Exercise Science has four full time faculty members and offers a B.S. in the academic areas of Health Professions, Human Performance and Physical Education. The Department of Exercise Science has exceptional facilities for engaging students in the process of discovery, including state of the art Exercise Physiology and Biomechanics laboratories and plans for a new joint sciences building that will increase dedicated research space and foster interdisciplinary collaboration. We are especially interested in candidates who have expertise in working with students of color and can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their research, teaching and service.
