Assistant Professor of Religious Studies - Tenure Track
Section I: Scope
The Religious Studies Department at Manhattan College, a Lasallian Catholic college, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Womanist Ethics to begin August 2018. The candidate is expected to teach Womanist ethics. The specialization and/or sub-field is open. The candidate will also be expected to teach the introductory REL 110 course: The Nature and Experience of Religion and have an earned Ph.D. in Religion, Religious Studies, or Theology. The position begins August 27, 2018 and the successful candidate must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree completed by the time of employment.
Interviews will be scheduled for the 2017 meeting of the AAR in Boston, November 18-21, 2017

Responsibilities:
- teach Womanist Ethics (The specialization and/or sub-field is open);
- teach the introductory RELS 110 course: The Nature and Experience of Religion;
Qualifications
- Ph.D in Religion, Religious Studies, or Theology by time of employment;
- A letter of application, CV, and names of three references
