Vice President of Student Affairs

Stevens Institute of Technology, a dynamic and accredited not-for-profit private research university seeks an accomplished, collaborative, and creative Vice President of Student Affairs (VPSA). The new vice president will work closely with President Nariman Farvardin to elevate the overall student experience of the University. Through exceptional leadership and guidance to units across the institution, the Vice President will promote seamless student support and a culture of engagement and belonging.

The new Vice President will provide visionary leadership in support of the University’s mission by promoting student learning and success through innovative programs and services. In collaboration with students, faculty, staff, and the local community, the Vice President will be responsible for devising and overseeing the execution of a strategy that reflects our proud legacy, our student-centricity, our technology focus, and our commitment to global impact

Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President of Student Affairs will play a key role in supporting the overarching goal to make Stevens a premier, student-centric technological research university. With oversight and responsibility for the Division of Student Affairs, the Vice President will work with students, faculty and staff to promote students' professional and personal development through a wide variety of programs and services while co-creating a supportive and socially conscious community.

The Vice President will possess an exceptional understanding of higher education and a commitment to student success. The ideal candidate will be a highly collaborative leader with the ability to develop partnerships with other units in order to materially enhance the student experience. As a key member of the president's senior leadership team, the Vice President will participate in strategic planning and work collaboratively with leadership across the University to support key academic and institutional priorities, initiatives and opportunities. A superior ability to think strategically at the institutional, departmental and individual student level is of the utmost importance.

The ideal candidate will bring proven success in leading a multi-functional student affairs team and the personal qualities to be a strategic thinker who is equally effective in articulating and executing a vision for the future.
