Assistant Professor, Family Science

Education & Society:  Assistant Professor, tenure-track position to teach courses in Family Science to begin in the Fall Semester 2018.  Further information about the Hamilton Campus is available at www.regionals.MiamiOH.edu   The successful candidate is expected to be an effective teacher, advise students, provide meaningful service to the department, university, and community, profession and establish a program of scholarship and research.  The successful candidate will teach courses including Adolescent Development in Diverse Families, Diverse Family Systems Across the Lifecycle and Children and Families, additional courses based on expertise.  The faculty member will teach mainly on the Hamilton Campus with the possibility of some teaching assignments on the Middletown Campus.

Required:  Doctorate in Family Science/Studies or closely related field by date of appointment; demonstration of teaching excellence.

Consideration will be given to those with evidence of potential for ongoing research, scholarship and publication; an interest in or experience with online or hybrid teaching formats; ability to teach Research Methods.
