Tenure Track Assistant Professor

Keywords:  International Trade / Globalization / Income Distribution / Wealth Distribution / Inequality

The Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level. This position links two key focus areas of the department: inequality and globalization.  We seek a scholar whose research examines the impact of the internationalization of production processes, international trade in goods and services, and related phenomena on the distribution of income and wealth.  We are particularly interested in scholars whose research connects theory to evidence and to policy. Commensurate with their career state, candidates should have an excellent and sustained record of research and evidence of the potential or demonstrated ability to generate extramural funding.  The appointment will begin on July 1, 2018, subject to final budgetary approval. A completed Ph.D. is required by the time of appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor.  Our department is committed to a pluralistic approach to economics, including the comparison and critical analysis of a variety of theoretical paradigms. More information about the department and about this position can be found at http://economics.utah.edu/facultysearch.

Review of applications will begin November 15.  Initial interviews will take place at the ASSA meetings in January. The position remains open until filled.
