George Mason University, Antonin Scalia Law School invites applications for the Assistant Dean for Strategic Communications and Marketing. The Antonin Scalia Law School is located on the Arlington, Virginia campus, just a few miles from downtown Washington, D.C. A top 30 law school, during the past decade, the law school has been in the forefront of curricular innovation, recognizing the rapid changes that are occurring in legal practice and the legal profession. This year the law school launched a Flex JD schedule for its part-time program - the top ranked public school part-time program according to US News - to make law school more accessible for working professionals. This spring it will launch a Flex LLM in US Law for foreign-educated lawyers who wish to gain admission to the DC Bar.
The Assistant Dean for Strategic Communications and Marketing will join an ambitious team of faculty and staff who are focused on expanding the reputation and promoting the success of Scalia Law. The Assistant Dean will develop and implement an integrated strategic communications and marketing plan that will advance the Law School’s strategic goals and objectives and raise the visibility of their esteemed faculty through increased publication and media exposure along with their U.S. News and World Report ranking. The comprehensive plan will support strategic enrollment growth as well as increase local and national awareness of the law school's educational, research, and public service activities. Central to this effort will be to ensure clear and consistent representation of the law school's mission and visual identities across a range of media platforms and in a variety of content forms (i.e., print, websites, short-form video, social media). In collaboration with the Dean, his leadership team, and the University, the next Assistant Dean for Strategic Communications and Marketing will ensure appropriate and timely response to media requests on a range of issues that can showcase expertise of the faculty and expand the reach of the reputation of Scalia Law.
