The UC Irvine School of Medicine, Department of Radiological Sciences, Section of Vascular and Interventional Radiology is seeking a qualified candidate as a Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series or Clinical (X) of Radiological Sciences Series, at the assistant rank. Expertise in all aspects of Interventional Radiology is essential. Strong interest in mentorship, diversity, research, and teaching are required. Experience in clinical operations would be preferred.

Criteria for the Professor of Clinical "X" Series: The incumbent will be expected to conduct substantial research; provide patient care; teach fellows, residents, and medical students; and perform public and University service. Excellent teaching is essential criteria for appointment in this series.

Criteria for the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series: The incumbent will be expected to teach fellows, residents, and medical students; provide patient care; contribute to scholarly activities; and provide public and University service.

Requirements:
Candidates must possess an M.D. or D.O. degree. The applicant must be fellowship trained in Interventional Radiology and have a documented interest in diversity, research and teaching with excellent track record in scholarly activities and diversity. Candidates must be board-certified or board eligible in interventional radiology or diagnostic radiology and be licensed or be eligible for full licensure in the State of California.

The successful candidates must have excellent clinical, technical and interpersonal skills, as well as a commitment to education, diversity and research. Responsibilities include clinical service and teaching in a busy tertiary and quaternary care center with ACGME accredited IR residency programs (integrated and independent). Applicants must possess or be eligible for certification by the American Board of Radiology and be fellowship trained at an accredited Vascular and Interventional Radiology fellowship program. Certificate of Added Qualification in Vascular and Interventional Radiology and/or Interventional Radiology/Diagnostic Radiology certification or eligibility is required.

The University of California, Irvine Medical Center is a 411-bed tertiary and quaternary care hospital with all residencies. UCIMC is a Level 1 Trauma Center in urban Orange County.
