Job Description Summary
The Penn Libraries seeks an energetic intern to work with and receive mentoring from the Associate University Librarian for Research Services (AUL for RS) who is a member of the Libraries' senior leadership team and who leads the Libraries' Research Services Council.

Job Description

Jumpstart your career as an information professional and gain insights into academic librarianship by working with the AUL for RS to create and maintain documentation regarding the Libraries suite of services that are available to the Penn research community. Much of the work can be done remotely. Hours are flexible, from 10 to 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities include:

o Attend and take notes at bi-weekly (virtual) meetings of the Research Services Council.
o Create and maintain files, documentation, and reports related Research Services.
o Assist with researching trends in research services at academic libraries.

Additionally, the intern will join a cohort of other interns in attending the Van Pelt Library's information desk, and will have the opportunity to assist other subject librarians and departmental librarians with special projects.
