Assistant Professor, Early Childhood Education

The Teacher Education Department at Capital University seeks qualified applicants for an Early Childhood Education tenure track position at the rank of assistant professor. Applicants must have an earned doctorate. The doctoral degree must be in early childhood education/child development or the applicant must have substantive early childhood coursework at the graduate level.  In addition, applicants should have demonstrated competence in a field of specialization, preferably early childhood language arts and/or reading, and teaching experience at the early childhood level, pre-school through grade three. Applicants should have evidence of scholarship, demonstrated experience in university teaching, appropriate technology skills, and familiarity with the national accreditation processes. In addition to the above qualifications, experience in working with learners with exceptionalities would be beneficial. The Department seeks individuals interested in collaborating with faculty in other departments, and that are committed to fostering linkages between the local community and Capital University’s Education Department. Knowledge and experience in education technology preferred.
