Structural Engineering

Applications are invited for an exceptional candidate in the area of Structural Engineering in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, effective July 1, 2022, or as soon as possible thereafter. The successful applicant will receive a one-year, Limited Term appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The Department is seeking an energetic and dynamic candidate who will be able to contribute to and complement the Department’s teaching activities in the broad area of Structural Engineering.  The highly qualified individual will be responsible for teaching six courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels with flexible assignment in the area of Structural Engineering.    Successful candidates must have a first degree (BASc., B.Eng., or Equivalent in Civil Engineering) and a Ph.D. degree in Engineering in the area of Structural Engineering (or a related discipline). The candidate should provide evidence of teaching at the university level and will be expected to teach a variety of courses in the broad area of structural engineering.  In addition, the candidate will be expected to participate in the normal administrative, educational, and professional activities of the Department, Faculty and University. PEng designation is required for this appointment.
