Associate Director DoCS (Open Rank Non-Tenure System Faculty)

 

The University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford is seeking an innovative educator with energy and commitment to medical student education for a 12-month, part-time 0.6 FTE faculty position.

 

The selected individual will be the Associate Director, Doctoring and Clinical Skills (DoCS) course and primarily responsible for teaching and administering the DoCS course for M2 medical students, a fundamental course on history-taking, physical examination, clinical reasoning, and professionalism. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Director of DoCS course and must be interested in curriculum development, working collaboratively across the University of Illinois College of Medicine campuses which include Rockford, Chicago, and Peoria.

The ideal applicant will have an MD/DO or its Foreign Equivalent OR PhD in clinical or related field OR Physician Assistant/Associate OR APRN. Primary or emergency care specialty is preferred. Extensive clinical practice experience preferred. Previous teaching experience in higher education, medical school courses preferred. Preference is given to individuals that have significant experience teaching clinical skills to medical students.
