The Department of Dermatology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Melanoma, pigmented lesions, Merkel cell cancer, squamous cell cancer, basal cell cancer, and rare tumors. Expertise in non-invasive diagnosis and surveillance of pigmented lesions is required. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Applicant must be board certified or board eligible in Dermatology. Skin cancer expertise, proven by publications, invited lectures, or clinical experience is strongly preferred.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching residents in dermatology and other specialties caring for skin cancer; fellows in Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology; medical students; trainees rotating from other countries and institutions.

Clinical responsibilities may include evaluation and treatment of patients with skin cancer, particularly those with a high-risk of recurrence or metastasis. Clinical responsibilities will focus on patients in the Penn Dermatology Oncology Center's specialty clinics, including the Pigmented Lesion Clinic, the Rare and Inherited Skin Cancer Clinic, and the High-Risk Cancer Clinic for Organ Transplant Recipients and immunosuppressed Patients.

The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Dermatology with a focus on cutaneous oncology and skin cancers at increased risk for recurrence or metastasis. Applicants in mid-career are encouraged to apply.
