UNCG Online’s Division of Online Learning at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro is seeking a highly innovative professional to help create interactive online courses in diverse subjects for a new degree completion program.
The successful candidate must understand principles of adult learning, curriculum design, assessment, and the tools for measuring the effectiveness of implemented methods; recognize how design can influence and enhance learning; have a passion for learning; be able to think visually; write and communicate clearly and succinctly; create interactive learning materials such as case studies, simulations and educational games; demonstrate strong leadership, project management, and organizational skills; collaborate with others and work closely with teams to develop effective learning strategies; interact with internal and external clients; take initiative on projects; visualize abstract and concrete concepts both critically and creatively.
Proficiency in WordPress and Google Apps or Microsoft Office is essential. Familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas), knowledge of Web authoring tools, Web development skills (e.g., HTML and CSS) and an awareness of Web-based tools and social media applications would be beneficial. Experience with project management software such as Basecamp, Wrike, or Microsoft Project is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; Master’s degree preferred. Salary is commensurate with experience. A resume and cover letter is required and should be an accurate reflection of your work and educational history. If possible, include a link to an online portfolio.
