TESOL Adjunct Faculty (Fall 2017 and Spring 2018 semesters) 

 

The George Mason University College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) invites applications from highly qualified Adjunct Faculty for course assignments in the Teaching Culturally and Linguistically Diverse and Exceptional Learners (TCLDEL) Program. Responsibilities:

Instructors would work primarily in the ESL curricular track and teach a diverse array of graduate courses, including classes offered on site in the northern Virginia area. Teaching opportunities may include courses in language acquisition, linguistics, language and literacy for ESL, methods, assessment, and teaching culturally and linguistically diverse learners. Coursework is offered in a variety of learning formats, including online, hybrid and face-to-face, with evening and weekend schedules. 

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Earned Doctorate focused on TESOL or a related content field;
  • Appropriate content expertise in ESL licensure courses;
  • University teaching experience; 
  • Relevant practitioner-related experience; and 
  • Experience teaching online.
