Assistant Director of Financial Aid

Ohio University is recruiting for an Assistant Director of Financial Aid in the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships. This position will manage the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) program including frequent correspondence with students regarding SAP appeals and outcomes, preparing appeal information, and chairing the appeal committee. This position also manages the Change of Income process including documentation gathering and review, need analysis calculations, and ISIR correction processing along with frequent correspondence with students and parents. This position also counsels and processes system information for students studying externally through Study Abroad, consortium agreements, and transient study. Counsels students and parents and participates in presentations and outreach for financial aid, recruitment, and/or enrollment management initiatives.


Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and at least three years of relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. A Master’s degree in Higher Education or a similar field as well as experience managing a large program and progressive experience in a financial aid office are preferred.
