Designated Institutional Official (DIO)/Director of Medical Education (DME)

Authority Health, a public body corporate that was created by the State of Michigan, Wayne County, and City of Detroit to support the public health infrastructure and create a community health network, is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Designated Institutional Official (DIO) of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.

Preference will be given to the candidate who is board-certified in Family Medicine, has earned an M.D. or D.O., and has at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities required for this position, including significant academic experience.

Opportunity Requirements

  • Robust understanding of the ACGME and experience with ACGME site visits and preparation for accreditation process and review
  • Ability to define, articulate, and execute the vision for Graduate Medical Education
  • Passion for training the next generation of physicians
  • Significant experience in GME, curriculum development, management, oversight, and evaluation as evidenced by current appropriate academic program leadership positions
  • Proven ability to coach and mentor physician educators
