ABOM certified and experienced obesity specialist to expand and direct an existing weight managemen

The Department of Internal Medicine of the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine seeks to recruit an ABOM certified and experienced obesity specialist to expand and direct an existing weight management program that is focused on medical management of obesity. In addition, the University of Iowa’s Department of Surgery has an active and growing Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence, and successful candidates will work to increase the integration of both programs to enhance the continuity of care both before and after surgery. Candidates must have an MD degree or equivalent and be authorized to work in the US. This position will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor, non-tenure track, depending on qualifications. The successful candidate needs to possess a Demonstrated commitment to promoting a diverse environment.  Applicants with prior experience with establishing or managing a weight management program are highly desirable. Salary is based on experience and qualifications.
