Associate Provost for Enrollment Management

The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for the position of Associate Provost for Enrollment Management. Reporting to the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, the Associate Provost for Enrollment Management serves as the senior enrollment officer for the institution with principal responsibility for crafting and implementing a comprehensive enrollment management plan focused on recruitment, admission, retention, and student success consistent with UW-Stevens Point’s strategic mission, vision, values, and goals. The new enrollment leader will continue to evolve an already strong division as the university continuously seeks new ways to reach an increasing number of students locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally. Reflecting the culture and traditions of UW-Stevens Point, the Associate Provost will lead an enrollment operation that is collaborative, transparent, forward-thinking, and data-informed. The Associate Provost provides leadership for the Offices of Admissions, Retention Services, Financial Aid, and Office of the Registrar, and is responsible for coordinating successful strategies that focus on recruitment, retention, and overall student success.

The successful candidate will have an understanding of the competitive enrollment landscape; a keen understanding of marketing and messaging to prospective students and families; an analytical and collaborative approach to decision making; and an appreciation of the technology and elevated practices required to manage a state-of-the-art comprehensive enrollment operation. The Associate Provost will have experience in or familiarity with admissions, financial aid, and the registrar’s office. She/he will be an effective communicator, capable of recruiting, motivating, and developing staff in an environment in which enrollment priorities and strategies are continuously assessed and refined. The new leader will possess the skill to conduct institution-wide and highly rigorous conversation about the enrollment vision, goals, tactics, and tradeoffs. A commitment to student access, success, shared governance, and community engagement is essential. A bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
