Assistant Professor

The Department of Disability and Human Development is hiring a tenure-track assistant professor beginning in the academic year 2018-2019.  The applicant should teach disability studies in the humanities with an interdisciplinary approach in one or more of these areas:  cultural studies, gender and women’s studies, queer/crip studies, neurodiversity, race and ethnicity, mad studies, Deaf studies, intersectional analysis.  Within these interdisciplinary approaches we are looking for someone who specializes in the study of literature, media, and/or film from the point of view of US or non-US context.

The applicant should have, in addition to experience teaching graduate students, extensive experience in teaching undergraduates. Furthermore, the applicant should have substantial experience in course development.
