The Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University is seeking candidates for entry level, senior Assistant Professor or untenured Associate Professor positions in the Marketing department for fall 2018.  Candidates are expected to exhibit strong research capabilities in their discipline and have the ability to effectively teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the business school.  Candidates who apply should have earned a doctorate, or in the process of completing their doctorate (Ph.D.) in marketing or a related field.  Research and teaching are emphasized for tenure and promotion.  Salary is negotiable based on experience, research record and rank.  Hiring is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check.

 

The review of applications will be ongoing and the position will remain open until filled.  The first review of applications will occur on in early July and review and processing of applications will continue thereafter. The committee will notify applicants of its employment decision after the positions are filled.  Applicants should provide a curriculum vitae, recommendation letters or a list of references, and evidence of written work and teaching effectiveness.  As part of the selection process, SMU-Cox marketing department also plans to interview some selected candidates at the 2017 AMA Summer Conference, August 4 - August 6, 2016, San Francisco, CA.
