The University of Denver invites nominations and applications for the position of Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor.
Founded in 1864, the University of Denver is an independent, doctoral granting research university with high research activity. Located in the booming city of Denver, at the foot of the awe-inspiring Rocky Mountains, the University enrolls over 11,600 students in its distinguished undergraduate liberal arts and sciences, graduate and professional programs. The University’s Chancellor, Rebecca Chopp, brings more than 20 years of transformational experience in higher education leadership.
Reporting directly to the Chancellor, the Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor is the chief academic and budget officer for the University and works directly with the academic deans, as well as members of the faculty and staff. The Provost will evolve and implement the DU IMPACT 2025 strategic plan. Candidates must be outstanding scholars with an innovative spirit, a desire to lead positive change in education, and a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion. In addition, the successful candidate will work effectively within a shared governance culture and lead collaboratively and transparently.
