Lecturer - Physical and General Chemistry

The position is a non-tenure eligible, academic-year appointment beginning on August 21, 2017. The position is renewable pending satisfactory job performance, availability of funding, and program needs. The successful applicant will be expected to teach Physical Chemistry and General Chemistry and oversee teaching assistants in chemistry labs, which may include evening labs. Minimum qualifications include a conferred Ph.D. in Chemistry or related discipline by the start date and experience with physical chemistry. Preferred qualifications include evidence of teaching effectiveness and/or potential, demonstrated enthusiasm for teaching, ability to work effectively with large classes (120 to 200 students), ability to work well with other faculty and coordinate teaching efforts, and experience working and interacting with people from a variety of culturally diverse backgrounds.
