University of Iowa Health Care, Department of Otolaryngology, an opening for an Assistant Research Scientist to participate in biological research, clinical genetics analysis pipelines, and general computational support for the lab.  Bioinformatics is a field that combines both informatics and biology; where computer applications are used for accessing, analyzing, and processing biological data.  Key areas of responsibilities include enterprise system development for advanced genomic, molecular and medical genetics.  Develop software solutions by interacting with the team to gather user requirements, investigating problem areas and existing solutions where applicable.  Document and demonstrate solutions by developing and maintaining user, system, and installation documentation. Support development of applications throughout entire lifecycle of design, development, test, and support.
