Lecturer Pool Interdisciplinary Studies Field major (ISF) The Interdisciplinary Studies Field major (ISF) at the University of California, Berkeley invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary instructors to teach Senior Thesis Seminars, a Research Methods Seminar, and thematic courses (lower and upper division) in the ISF program should an opening arise. Screening of applicants is ongoing and will continue as needed. The number of positions varies from semester to semester, depending on the needs of the department. Positions may range from 33%-100% time. Basic Qualifications: Applicants must have completed all PhD requirements except the dissertation or equivalent, at the time of application. Additional Qualifications: A Ph.D. or equivalent degree is required by the start date in a discipline of the social sciences or humanities (including but not limited to anthropology, sociology, history, politics, economics, public health, education, literature, visual culture, philosophy) Preferred: Experience with statistical methods is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have significant interdisciplinary research experience of their own in one more of these fields and disciplines, and have teaching experience in one or more of these (or other) disciplines, or in Interdisciplinary Studies.
