Summary of Position:
The Director of e-Learning serves as a member of the e-Learning team with a primary focus on pedagogical soundness in the development and assessment of online courses. In addition, the position will serve as liaison with the departments and divisions regarding online program and course development procedures. The Director of e-Learning has experience in the development of faculty development, distance learning curricula, the assessment of student outcomes as they relate to instructional technology, the creation and implementation of instructional technology plans, and Learning Management System. The director has an extensive background and experience with various learning management systems and platforms, building blocks and learning tools. The Director of e-Learning is the manager of the Office of e-Learning leading a team of instructional designers, technologists, and student workers. The Director of e-Learning will have an entrepreneurial spirit and work with faculty and campus leaders in building consensus and advocating for online learning.
Masters in educational technology and/or instructional design or related area; possess a solid background in e-Learning; present evidence of professional development; demonstrate ability to teach instructional technology courses; possess the ability to successfully contribute to a collaborative work environment.
Experience managing an instructional design team, preferably in a higher education setting. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
