This is a research coordinator position for an NIH/NCI study. The study involves recruitment of a cohort of patients from the University of Pennsylvania Primary Care Clinic population. Subjects will be asked to link to a website where they complete a baseline survey that includes a breast cancer screening decision aid. This link will be send prior to an upcoming primary care appointment. Subjects will also be asked to compete follow-up surveys following their primary care visit. The goal of this work is to better understand how young women (age 40 to 49) process and use information about mammography screening to make a decision about the age at which to initiate breast cancer screening. The web-based decision aid includes information about the benefits and risks of initiating breast cancer screening in your 40's compared to waiting until you are 50 years or older The study will help us to develop more effective education and decision support materials for cancer screening.

We are seeking to hire a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC-A) for two federally funded projects in the Division of General Internal Medicine. The primary responsibility of this position is to support the principal investigator through coordination of studies dedicated to improving the outcomes of older adults, primarily though evaluation of health policy/payment policy initiatives. For example, one project evaluates the implications of different types of insurance on the care older adults receive after hospitalization. Another evaluates an effort to improve outcomes in nursing homes though changes in payment policy. These projects use a combination of databases (for example, from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) and interviews and observations of clinical staff and patients.

Duties for the CRC-A include a variety of research and administrative tasks, such as regulatory document (IRB and other) preparation and submission; scheduling meetings for the PI and for study staff across study sites, obtaining and organizing data sources, data management (quantitative and qualitative); assistance with manuscript preparation; preparation of sponsor reports, and other miscellaneous tasks that support the success of the research project.

An ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational and communication skills, experience with requesting and managing secondary data sources such as Medicare data, gathering qualitative data and analysis of these data, and experience with regulatory concerns regarding multi-site research projects.

Position contingent upon funding.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with 1-2 years of related experience in research and clinical study methodologies or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
