Faculty Position in Brazilian and Latin American Education

The Stanford University Graduate School of Education seeks a scholar who studies Brazilian and Latin American Education.  This is an open rank tenure-track position. Besides fulfilling regular responsibilities as a faculty member in the GSE, the successful candidate will also be expected to provide leadership in the GSE’s Lemann Center for Educational Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Brazil, and to work with the Center’s students, alumni, and partners to support improvement in Brazilian education.  We welcome applications from scholars of any nationality and from all areas and disciplines in the broad field of education.  Scholars should have a strong scholarly record with clear relevance to the Lemann Center’s mission. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching and advising doctoral and master’s students in the Graduate School of Education.  This position was previously listed as a tenured position, and applicants who previously applied do not need to reapply.

  • three scholarly publications and/or well-developed papers
  • Applicants for Assistant rank positions should submit three letters of reference.
  • Applicants for Associate and Full Professor ranks should submit a list of three names of references (complete with addresses and phone numbers). We will request letters of recommendation for a short list of finalists only.
