Job Description Summary
Reporting to the IT Director for Client Services, this position will work across the various functional groups within Client Technology Services (Client Services, Classroom technology, Student Support, Public Technology, and San Francisco Support groups), to ensure timely initial response to support requests, ensure ongoing tickets are being properly responded to, and identify patterns in tickets within and across teams.

While the position does not have any direct reports, they are empowered to work with the various team members to ensure appropriate response, and to escalate with the team managers if needed. They will also identify operational and technical deficiencies, and raises them with the directors and managers of each of the operational teams for review and exploration.

They will work with vendors, including off-hours support providers, to ensure satisfactory support is provided, and that they have the resources needed to continue to deliver the highest quality support possible.

The position will help to generate, review, and update public and private documentation and knowledgebase articles, based on identified trends, in order to help IT Professionals deliver better support, and empowering users to self-help.

Serves as a member of our accounts team, responsible for handling sensitive and routine account life cycle requests, including password reset requests, account termination requests, and affiliation requests.

The manager may occasionally get into the weeds with complex technical issues while maintaining the ability to step back and connect the team's daily work to the big picture goals of the School. As such, the manager must have demonstrated strong personnel management and interpersonal communication skills to help ensure high levels of operational excellence.

On-call contact is required during non-business hours to respond to urgent, high priority and escalated service issues or outages. This include the potential for both evening and weekend hours.
