Family Medicine Physician with OB (Assistant/Associate/Professor of Clinical Family Medicine)

The Residency Division of the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Rockford (UICOMR) seeks a full-time board-certified family medicine physician with current OB experience. UICOMR is a well-established 4-year medical school for the University of Illinois College of Medicine, one of the largest medical schools in the United States. On average, 22% of our graduates go on to Family Medicine residencies. Founded in 1971, our unopposed residency is a 7-7-7, community-based program offering a full spectrum of care to a diverse population. Our residents are trained in all aspects of Family Medicine including a well-established obstetrics curriculum. In addition, a HRSA-funded OB track was developed for select residents who are committed to providing obstetrical care in rural/underserved communities with the aim to improve maternal and fetal outcomes through high volume obstetrics, surgical training, and ultrasound. Prefer physicians with a focus on or fellowship training in obstetrics/women’s health and experience/expertise in ultrasound use; however, new graduates are also encouraged to apply. In addition to clinical practice, the position provides for supervision of residents and medical students in the ambulatory and hospital setting. Opportunities abound in this dynamic and growing department for teaching, research and clinical care. The department has a strong research division which is fully funded and supports our faculty in scholarship. Faculty also participate in faculty development, mentoring, and leadership.
