Job Description Summary
The Temporary Media and Communications Coordinator in Graduate Admissions in Research and Academic Services (RAS) will serve as the department webmaster in charge of managing, maintaining, and updating the website and all social media platforms.

Job Description

The Temporary Media and Communications Coordinator will serve as the department webmaster in charge of managing, maintaining, and updating the website and all social media platforms. Develop and deliver timely content through our various social media sites and showcase events and accomplishments/activities of graduate students. Manage social media sites, including but not limited to YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook, in addition to media that is trending. Monitor trends in social media tools and apply that knowledge to increase the use of social media in the department; help create and curate a library of images and videos for recruitment purposes; and, direct, manage and execute Admissions' digital presence across all initiatives. Working with the Senior Associate Director, coordinate professional recruitment events for prospective students; handle reimbursements for Senior Associate Director; provide support as needed which can include but is not limited to facilitating information sessions for prospective students, arranging travel, curating materials for virtual and in-person events, managing nurturing messages to prospective students, and supporting all admissions initiatives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, communications, journalism, graphic design, or related field and a minimum of two years of experience in website management, writing, editing and Wordpress or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced written and verbal communication skills; excellent knowledge of grammar-and style-related conventions; copy and editing skills; proficiency in website platforms. Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in the planning and execution of marketing activities and materials.
