The Opportunity

Eastern University is seeking a new Dean for its College of Business and Leadership (CBL). The next Dean will find an institution looking for innovative, thoughtful, and inspiring leadership, consistent with Eastern University’s core values at this important moment in its history. Founded in 1925, in Philadelphia, PA and later relocated to its current location in St. Davids, PA, Eastern University is a Christian University of the arts and sciences and professional study, dedicated to preparing students for thoughtful and productive lives of Christian faith, leadership and service. As such, the next Dean of CBL will find a unique opportunity to lead the CBL community, its students, faculty, and stakeholders, as it continues to pursue the most effective ways to fully integrate its degree and certificate programs in business and leadership, with its Christian tradition.  The CBL has been accredited by ACBSP since 2019, and with its newly designed, 100% online MBA Program, as well as extensive undergraduate and graduate program offerings, and a Ph.D. program in Organizational Leadership. 

The Dean of the College of Business and Leadership (CBL) provides direct supervision and strategic leadership for the CBL and supports the Office of the Provost in selected areas of the University’s academic operation. Reporting to the Provost, the Dean works collaboratively with the faculty, staff, administration, board, students, alumni, and community partners to achieve the strategic goals of the university and college. By Faculty Handbook policy, this position carries faculty status.
