Reporting to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Associate Vice President for Graduate Education, Grants and Sponsored Research will serve as the principal leader, administrator, and planner for graduate academic programs, graduate student support, grants and sponsored research. Fostering the integration of graduate education and campus-wide scholarship in all its forms, the Associate Vice President will elevate the status of graduate education and faculty scholarship in alignment with the mission of the College.

 

Qualifications:  The new Associate Vice President will be a dynamic and collaborative leader and an accomplished scholar with expertise in research driven programs and policies, and experience leading complex teams and/or organizations. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned higher education administrator with a strong record of teaching excellence and grant-funded scholarship, who has experience in supervising staff and graduate students, assessing student learning outcomes, budget management, and working with shared governance, curriculum and graduate instruction. The new Associate Vice President must be a strategic thinker, an effective communicator, and be familiar with higher education trends in grants and sponsored research as well as graduate education. A PhD or doctorate from an accredited institution and experience commensurate with the ranking of Professor are required.
