Job Description Summary
Wharton People Analytics' (WPA) annual conference is the premier conference in its field, and WPA's largest event each year. Planned by a competitively selected team of graduate students in concert with WPA's faculty co-directors and staff, the conference brings together students, researchers, and practitioners from major organizations around the world. Running virtually for the second time in 2022, the conference aims to gather its largest audience ever.

Reporting into the Executive Director, and working closely with the WPA staff, the EC would assist with the processes, logistics, and products necessary to run a first-class conference. These include (but are not limited to) developing and managing timelines, working with external vendors, coordinating details with speakers, organizing various communication efforts, and virtual platform set up and utilization.

Job Description

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred and 3-5 years minimum experience, or equivalent combination of education and years of experience.
  • Proven ability to organize and complete multiple, simultaneous tasks with close attention to detail and prioritization to meet deadlines.
  • Strong management, organizational and planning skills a must with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify and implement innovative solutions to department event processes.
  • Ability to anticipate and troubleshoot unexpected challenges as they arise.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Background or knowledge in event registration systems a plus.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders, in an environment of distributed responsibility.
  • Ability to work professionally with high profile speakers, academics, and attendees.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills
  • Previous experience working with high profile stakeholders is a plus
