Rider University invites nominations for, and expressions of interest in, the position of Dean of the College of Business Administration. The College seeks an outstanding leader with the experience, energy and enthusiasm to build on the University's and the College's success and continue its strategic investment in academic excellence.

Rider University, is a vibrant, student-centered community of learners and scholars regionally recognized as a top-tier institution.  With campuses located in Lawrenceville and Princeton, New Jersey, Rider is an independent, residential university with approximately 728 full-time faculty and staff, and 5,106 undergraduate, graduate, and non-traditional students.  Rider is organized into  five colleges – the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; the College of Education and Human Services; the College of Business Administration; the Westminster College of the Arts; and the College of Continuing Studies.  The University offers 59 undergraduate programs in the fine and performing arts, humanities, sciences, social sciences, education and business, as well as 24 graduate programs in business, accounting, education, music, business communication, applied psychology, Homeland Security, and leadership. Rider University's roots in business education date to its 1865 founding as Trenton Business College to train leaders in the booming, industrialized post-Civil War economy. Today, Rider continues to produce talented executives, and its business college remains one of its academic cornerstones. The College is dual-accredited by AACSB for its business and accounting programs; maintains a full-time faculty of 60; offers programs in accounting, business administration, economics, entrepreneurial studies, finance, global supply chain management, human resource management, information systems, international business, management and leadership, marketing, and sport management; and awards the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, the Master in Accountancy, the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and the Executive MBA degrees.

As the academic leader of the College of Business Administration, the new Dean will join a dynamic university that is focused on the future. Competitive candidates must demonstrate evidence of successful leadership, sustained institutional commitment and oversight of programs, faculty and staff; an understanding of the process and standards of AACSB accreditation; and a proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues. He/she will be expected to articulate and implement an academic vision for the future of Rider's business programs in a global society, and foster the role of faculty and students as leaders for social responsibility and effective business leadership. Significant administrative experience in higher education; evidence of strong teaching and scholarship; a doctoral degree or appropriate equivalent; and a demonstrated ability to build support from alumni and external constituencies is preferred. Commensurate exemplary accomplishments and experience in a professional setting may also be considered.
